Longer Battery Life
Based on the improvements in power, this update provides ultra-low power consumption along with a longer battery life. So you can enjoy continuous reading with your eSlick for a longer time.
Reading Encrypted PDF Files
You can open and read PDF files that have been encrypted by passwords on your eSlick.
Improved File Browsing
By pressing the Up/Down button to the very end of a page when browsing, the file list will circle back to the beginning of the page. To go to the previous/next page, you can press the Left/Right button.
Smart-Fit Reading
To make pages easily viewable by laying them out according to the content, Fit Content is set as the default display mode when you open a new PDF file.
Enhanced Button Control
The Music button is disabled when you browse the file list, preventing you from going to the Music menu by accident.
Bug Fixes
This update provides several bug fixes and enhances the performance of your eSlick, including a button issue that you had to press the Page Down/Page Up button several times to get the keyboard to respond when you wanted to go to the previous/next page.

The free eSlick 1.0 Build 0713 Firmware Update includes some fantastic new features and has enhanced many of the features from previous firmware updates.
Reading History
A convenient record of what you have read and what you might like to read again. It keeps a record of up to 10 books you read and lists up to 5 recent documents on the main interface. Press the Navigator button left or right to select the book you would like to read again.
Shortcut Keys
Quickly and easily perform your operations when reading PDFs. To invoke the shortcut keys, simply press the Center button when reading a PDF file, the four Navigator buttons will become four function keys to provide quick access to frequently used menu commands like: Go to Page, Reflow, Bookmark, and Landscape.

Better Power Off Control
Now you need to hold down the Power button for 1 second to shut down the eSlick device, thus preventing you from turning off the device accidently.

Bug Fixes
Foxit eSlick 1.0 Build 0713 Firmware Update fixes several issues listed below:
- Fixed an issue with blurry and jagged text.
- Fixed an issue that TXT files created from Mac and Linux OS cannot be displayed with eSlick.
- Fixed main memory issue when removing the SD card whilst reading PDFs stored in the card.
- Cannot refresh the list of the "Music" category when inserting the SD card again.
- Fixed an issue where the main interface would appear as landscape when pressing the Return button whilst eSlick is loading a landscape PDF file.

Bug Fixes
- Cannot save the last viewing settings on a document when the power is turned off.
- The slow speed when rendering txt files.
- Some of the MP3 files are displayed twice in category "Music."
- Cannot refresh the list of the "Music" category when inserting the SD card again.
- The error message "File corrupted" shows up randomly after it shows up for the real error file for the first time.
- Power leak after full charging and the USB cable is still connected.
